responsibility in the Passport Office should be required

to furnish security (vide paragraph 14 of the report).

17.

(a) The audit of the sections which it has been

found possible to examine, for the periods

mentioned in the report, reveals that according

to available records $1,155.78 plus $280 =

$1,435.78 has been short accounted for.

(b) There is also a possible indeterminable loss

in connection with missing visa application

forms vide paragraph 4 (b), less the "sets off"

referred to in paragraph 5 and 6.

(c) In addition queries have been raised in

respect of two small suns which have seemingly

not been accounted for.
